Mark grew up in Northern California & born into a family that devoted themselves to the purpose & will of God. He was born again at 8 years old. He graduated from Azusa Pacific with a B.A. in Business. After pursuing his entrepreneurial career for 10 years, God called him to be a full time youth evangelist. He has faithfully followed that call to serve the last 25 years in various parts of the world - including serving as the youth pastor at Evangelical Free & Bayside Church.

God has gifted him as a youth evangelist & our community is blessed to have him teaching our youth. NextGen Arising was born out of the desire to equip our youth to live lives worthy of Christ. Through Fish Club, Friday Fish@the Barn, homeschooling, Knights of Christ & Juvenile Hall ministries, Mark has showed youth how to live out the purpose for which God created them.

Mark uses unique object lessons, games, skits & stories to teach the Gospel. He has also worked with youth pastors, teaching them creative ways to connect with the youth. Mark has also written a book on 101 object lessons that can be used for youth evangelism.

In addition, Mark has participated in outreaches to Kenya, Haiti, Costa Rica, Romania, Jamaica, Ghana, Ukraine, Mexico, Fuji, Cambodia, Alaska & California through Luis Palau Association (, JA Perez Evangelistic Association (, Reid Saunders Association (, Rock of Ages Festival Ministries ( & Alaskan Summer Camp Ministry (
